On Polymarket US you copy the money
Polymarket US prints every trade without a name attached. Nobody's handle sits beside a $90,000.00 buy on a tennis match, so the signal is the trade itself: how much went in, on which side, at what price, and in which market. Rivo records all of it, and that record is what a Polymarket US bot is built on.
This turns out to be a clean way to trade. A bot built on large trades never depends on one person staying in form, never stops working because someone went quiet for a month, and never needs you to research a profile before you trust it. It responds to whoever is putting serious money down right now. When a sharp bettor, a syndicate or a well-funded fan drops a large order on a game, the bot sees the same order and decides from your rule whether to join it.
The question you answer is which large trades are worth following. The bots at the top of this page are the place to start. College football, tennis, the NBA and the NFL carry most of the large money on Polymarket US, politics carries a steady share, and the price a sport's money pays tells you whether it backs favorites or longshots. Pick the slice you believe in, and the backtest tells you how that slice has done at your stake.
What a Polymarket US signal bot can filter on
A signal bot is a saved rule that runs against every new large trade. On Polymarket US the rule can narrow the flow by:
- Kind of market. Sports, politics, crypto or any category Rivo tags, and within sports a single league: the NBA, the NFL, college football, college basketball, tennis, soccer, the NHL and more.
- Trade size. A minimum and a maximum, so the bot can follow only the very largest orders or a band in the middle.
- Price paid. A floor and a ceiling on the entry price. Large money on a 90 cent favorite and large money on a 30 cent underdog are different bets, and you choose which one your bot takes.
- Keywords. A team, a player or a word in the market title, for a bot that trades only one club's games or only one kind of question.
- Both sides of a market. Set to One side only, the bot never holds YES and NO on the same market. On a busy game the large money often lands on both teams, and this keeps the bot with its first read instead of paying for both outcomes.
Every filter shows a live preview of the trades it would have matched, and the backtest replays the rule over settled Polymarket US markets so you see the win rate and the return before the bot spends anything.
Your Polymarket US account does the trading
A live Rivo bot trades through the Polymarket US account you already have. Polymarket US is a US-regulated exchange that trades in dollars, and it issues API keys to its account holders for automated trading. You create a key in your Polymarket US account, paste its key ID and secret into Rivo, and Rivo confirms the key works by reading your balance before it saves anything. Every request the bot sends is signed with that key using Ed25519, the signature scheme Polymarket US requires, and the secret is stored encrypted.
Your money stays in your Polymarket US balance the whole time. There is no Rivo wallet, no deposit and no pooled account. The key lets the bot place and manage orders on your account and nothing more, and disconnecting it in settings removes it from Rivo.
How the bot places an order on Polymarket US
Polymarket US runs a single order book for each market, priced in YES. The bot handles both sides of that book for you:
- A YES buy takes the YES offers, cheapest first.
- A NO buy is filled against the YES bids. Against a 62 cent YES bid, NO costs 38 cents. The bot converts every level into the price of the side you are buying, so its limit, its fill and your Portfolio all read in NO terms.
- Every live order is a limit order. Its limit is the highest price your slippage setting allows from the large trade's own price, rounded down to the market's tick. It takes whatever the book offers up to that price immediately.
- Anything left over rests and expires. The unfilled part waits on the book for about a minute as a good-till-date order and then Polymarket US cancels it. A bot never leaves a stale order sitting on a market after the moment has passed.
- It goes in even when the book is empty. After a large trade the first buyers can clear the offers, and the book usually refills quickly. The resting order catches that refill at your price or better.
Polymarket US charges its own fee on each fill, set per market and largest for contracts priced near 50 cents. The bot sizes every order so that the price plus the most the fee could be still fits inside your per-trade amount, which means a trade never spends more than you allowed. The fee is recorded with each order.
While one order is resting, its money is held back from the next. Two large trades arriving together never both size themselves off the same dollars in your balance.
The limits you set on a live bot
A live Polymarket US bot works inside four limits, and you can change any of them from the bot's page:
- Per trade. The most a single buy can spend, fee included.
- Per day. The most the bot can spend across the day. When it is reached the bot waits for the next day, and money set aside for an order that expired unfilled is handed back.
- Max in open bets. A cap on the money the bot has in positions that have not settled. A buy that would take it past the cap is skipped until one of the bot's bets settles. On a weekend with dozens of college football games, this is what stops the bot from having your whole balance riding at once.
- Loss limit. The bot counts its own live profit and loss, and when losses reach the figure you set, it pauses. It starts counting from zero again when you resume it.
Every decision is written to the bot's log, including the trades it skipped and why: outside the price band, a side it already holds the other half of, the daily limit, the open-bet cap. You never have to guess why a trade did or did not happen.
Paper first then live
A Polymarket US bot starts on paper. It takes every matching large trade with virtual money at the real price, holds the position, and scores it when the market settles. You get a record built on trades that actually happened after you switched the bot on, in the markets you chose, at the size you chose. Paper trading and the backtest work the same way on Polymarket US as everywhere else in Rivo, covered in paper trading and backtesting.
When the record is where you want it, you connect your key, set the limits and promote the same bot to live. Nothing is rebuilt. A paper record is not a promise of live results: a live order can fill at a slightly different price or not fill at all, and a slice of the market that paid last month can stop paying.
Alerts on the same rule
Every bot doubles as an alert. Choose a daily summary of what it matched, every matching trade plus the summary, or nothing, delivered in the app and on Telegram. You can also run a Polymarket US bot on paper purely for the alerts and place the trades you like by hand from the order ticket. Price alerts on a single Polymarket US market are on price alerts.
Polymarket US and polymarket.com are separate
A Polymarket US bot trades only on Polymarket US, through your Polymarket US account. Rivo never routes an order from one exchange to the other: their accounts, balances and markets are separate, even where a game appears on both. Bots on polymarket.com run on paper and as alerts, and they are covered on the Polymarket trading bot page.
Build and run it from code
Every bot is also reachable through the Rivo REST API and the MCP server, so an AI agent or your own script can create a Polymarket US signal bot, backtest it and read its record. Keys are scoped to read, write or trade, and the developer documentation lists the endpoints.
Frequently asked questions
What is a Polymarket US trading bot?
It is a bot that places orders on Polymarket US for you when a rule you wrote is met. In Rivo the rule is built on large Polymarket US trades: you choose the sports or markets, the price range and the trade size worth acting on, and the bot buys the same side through your own connected Polymarket US account, inside the limits you set.
Is there a Polymarket US copy trading bot?
Yes, and it copies the money rather than a username. Polymarket US publishes its trades without naming who placed them, so a Rivo bot follows every large trade that matches your filters. A $40,000.00 buy on an NBA favorite is copied because of what it is, at the size you choose for your own account.
Does the Polymarket US bot trade with real money?
A signal bot can. Once it has a paper record you are happy with, you connect your Polymarket US API key and switch the same bot to live. Its orders are placed on your account and settle in your Polymarket US balance. Market bots, which watch the price of one market, run on paper.
How do I connect my Polymarket US account?
Create an API key in your Polymarket US account and paste its key ID and secret into Rivo's settings. Rivo checks the key by reading your balance before it saves anything, stores the secret encrypted, and signs each request to Polymarket US with it. Disconnecting removes the key from Rivo.
How does the bot buy NO on Polymarket US?
Polymarket US runs one book per market, priced in YES. A NO buy is filled against the YES bids, so a NO bought against a 62 cent YES bid costs 38 cents. The bot does that arithmetic for you, sets its limit in the price of the side you bought, and records the fill as a NO position.
What happens if the bot's order does not fill?
Each live order is a limit at the highest price your slippage setting allows. It takes whatever is offered up to that price straight away, and any part left over rests on the book for about a minute and then expires on its own. An order that expires unfilled is logged with the reason, and the money it had set aside goes back into the bot's daily limit.
Can the bot end up holding both YES and NO on one game?
Not if you set Both sides of a market to One side only. While the bot holds one side of a market, it skips any buy of the other side, on paper and live. Large money often lands on both teams in the same game, so most Polymarket US bots are built with this on.
Does the bot sell my positions?
On Polymarket US the bot buys and holds until the market settles. Sell any position yourself from Portfolio whenever you like. A loss limit can pause the bot once its losses reach the figure you set, and Max in open bets holds back new buys until one of the bot's bets settles.
What does it cost?
The bot is part of the Rivo subscription, $9 a week or $15 a month, with no charge per bot and no share of your trades. Polymarket US charges its own trading fee on each fill, which goes to Polymarket US.
