How you withdraw depends on which Polymarket you use.
- polymarket.com: crypto to any wallet, free, lands in minutes.
- Polymarket US: dollars to your debit card or bank, free, one to four business days.
Polymarket charges no withdrawal fee on either one, and almost every stuck withdrawal comes down to one of a few rules. This guide gives you the steps, the rules, the fixes and the cheapest route from a crypto balance to your bank.
Polymarket withdrawal methods at a glance
| Method | Where | Time | Polymarket fee | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Crypto to any wallet | polymarket.com | Minutes | Free | Wrong address or chain is permanent |
| Debit card | Polymarket US | 3 to 4 business days | Free | Same card you deposited from |
| ACH bank transfer | Polymarket US | 3 to 4 business days | Free | Deposit must clear first |
| Wire transfer | Polymarket US | 1 business day | Free | Check your bank's incoming wire fee |
Before you withdraw anything
Only cash can leave. Shares stay put until you sell them or the market pays out.
- Sell what you want out of. Sell at the best bid, or post a limit order and wait.
- Collect resolved winnings. On polymarket.com, a resolved market redeems winning shares to your balance at $1 each.
- Cancel resting orders on money you plan to withdraw, so an order doesn't fill after you move the cash.
- Check disputed markets. A market under a UMA vote pays out in four to six days, not two hours.
How to withdraw from polymarket.com
- Open Portfolio and choose Withdraw.
- Paste the receiving wallet address.
- Pick the token, the amount and the chain to receive on.
- Choose Withdraw.
What happens behind the button:
- Your balance sits in pUSD, a Polygon token backed one to one by USDC, since April 28, 2026.
- Polymarket unwraps the pUSD through Uniswap v3 liquidity and sends the money to a bridge address.
- The bridge swaps into the token you picked and delivers on the chain you picked.
- Supported destinations: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism and other EVM chains, plus Solana, Bitcoin and Tron.
Polymarket charges nothing for any of this. The chain charges network fees, and the exchange or wallet on the other end may charge a deposit fee.
Withdrawing more than $50,000
The unwrap runs through a liquidity pool, so a big withdrawal moves the pool price against you. Polymarket's own docs tell you to split withdrawals above $50,000 into smaller ones. Our take: send $50,000 or less per withdrawal, wait for each to land, then send the next.
A checklist before you press Withdraw
- The address belongs to you, and you copied the whole address.
- The receiving exchange accepts the token on the chain you picked. USDC on Base and USDC on Ethereum are different deposits.
- You sent a small test first if the address is new to you.
- You kept enough pUSD back for any open orders you still want filled.
Nobody can reverse a crypto transfer to a wrong address or an unsupported chain. Not Polymarket, not the exchange, not anyone.
The cheapest way from polymarket.com to your bank
polymarket.com only pays out crypto, per its own withdrawal guide. To end up with dollars in a bank account, you need an exchange in the middle. Here's the route:
- Open the deposit page on an exchange you already use and note which chains it accepts for USDC.
- On polymarket.com, withdraw USDC on one of those chains.
- Wait for the exchange to credit the deposit.
- Sell the USDC for dollars. USDC trades near $1, so the conversion costs little.
- Withdraw dollars to your bank from the exchange.
Our take: pick a rollup chain your exchange supports, such as Base, Arbitrum or Optimism. Use Ethereum mainnet only if the exchange accepts nothing else, because mainnet gas costs more. Skip Bitcoin and Tron for a bank route, since you add a second swap for no reason.
Third-party guides mention a MoonPay cash-out on polymarket.com at 3 to 5%. Polymarket's own withdrawal guide only shows crypto, so we don't rely on a MoonPay route here. Even if the option shows up for you, 3 to 5% costs far more than the exchange route.
How long the bank route takes
| Leg | Typical time | Who charges |
|---|---|---|
| polymarket.com to your exchange | Minutes after the chain confirms | Network fee only |
| Exchange credits the USDC | Set by the exchange | Some exchanges charge a deposit fee |
| Sell USDC for dollars | Seconds | The exchange's trading fee |
| Exchange to your bank | Set by the exchange | The exchange's withdrawal fee |
Withdrawing from a close-only country
polymarket.com marks some countries close-only, including the United States in its docs. Close-only means no new positions. Your wallet is still yours, so you can still sell positions and withdraw. The location checker lists every venue's status for your country.
How to withdraw from Polymarket US
Polymarket US pays out dollars by debit card, ACH or wire, with no Polymarket fee. Three rules decide whether a withdrawal goes through on time:
- Cleared money only. A deposit still in flight stays locked until it clears.
- Same method back. Money returns to the payment method the deposit came from.
- First in, first out. Withdrawals match against deposits in the order you made them, for anti-money-laundering checks.
Step by step on Polymarket US
- Wait until every deposit you plan to withdraw has cleared.
- Sell any positions you want out of, so the money sits as cash.
- Open the withdrawal screen in the Polymarket US app.
- Pick the method. The app routes money back to the card or bank the deposit came from.
- Enter the amount and confirm. Expect one business day by wire and three to four by card or ACH.
How the rules play out
Say you deposit $200 by debit card on Monday and $500 by ACH on Wednesday, then ask to withdraw $600 on Friday.
| Step | What Polymarket US does |
|---|---|
| First $200 | Goes back to the debit card, the oldest deposit, once the card deposit has cleared |
| Next $400 | Goes back to the bank account by ACH, once the ACH deposit has cleared |
| If the ACH deposit hasn't cleared by Friday | The $400 waits until it clears |
This is our illustration of the published rules. The exact sequence is whatever Polymarket US shows you in the app.
Which Polymarket US method to pick
- Wire for big sums you need fast. One business day. Check your bank's incoming wire fee first.
- ACH for routine cash-outs. No Polymarket fee and no wire charge from your bank.
- Debit card when you funded by card, since the money goes back the same way anyway.
Why a Polymarket withdrawal gets held
| Problem | Where | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit hasn't cleared | Polymarket US | Wait for it to clear, then request again |
| Asked for a different method than the deposit | Polymarket US | Withdraw to the original card or bank |
| Wrong or outdated bank details | Polymarket US | Update the bank details and resubmit |
| Anti-money-laundering review | Polymarket US | Answer support at support@polymarket.us |
| Promotional credit in the balance | Polymarket US | Read the promotional credit FAQ |
| Slow chain confirmation | polymarket.com | Check the transaction on a block explorer |
| Exchange hasn't credited the deposit | polymarket.com | Check the exchange's deposit history, then its support |
| Wrong address or chain | polymarket.com | Nobody can reverse the transfer |
Six withdrawal mistakes and how to skip them
- Picking the chain before checking the exchange. Open the exchange's deposit page first, then choose the chain on polymarket.com.
- Skipping the test transfer. Send $10 to a new address first. A few minutes of waiting costs nothing.
- Sending $200,000 in one go. Split anything above $50,000, per Polymarket's docs, to limit slippage.
- Withdrawing a card deposit to a bank on Polymarket US. The money goes back to the card. Plan around the same-method rule.
- Withdrawing the day after a deposit. Uncleared money stays locked. Give an ACH deposit time to clear.
- Leaving resting orders open. An order fills, the cash disappears, and the withdrawal fails for lack of funds.
Records to keep for every withdrawal
- The date, amount and method of each withdrawal.
- On polymarket.com, the transaction hash and the chain, so you can trace any transfer on a block explorer.
- The dollar value on the day the USDC reached your exchange and on the day you sold.
- The Polymarket US withdrawal confirmation from the app.
Prediction market winnings have tax consequences in the US. Keep the records above and talk to a tax professional about your own situation.
What people complain about
- Delayed or declined withdrawals on the dollar side, nearly always from the cleared-funds and same-method rules.
- Frozen accounts during compliance reviews on Polymarket US.
- Slow support, a common theme on Trustpilot.
Secondhand context: the Wall Street Journal reported on September 20, 2026 a wave of stolen debit card deposits at Polymarket US in February 2026, and said a same-source withdrawal safeguard was switched off for a time. We read summaries, not the original article. The same-method rule in this guide is the safeguard in question, so expect Polymarket US to hold the rule tight.

Where Rivo fits
Rivo never touches your withdrawals. It's a $15 a month terminal, not an exchange, and it never holds your money. Your balance stays at Polymarket, and every withdrawal happens in Polymarket's own app.
- polymarket.com: you sign each order in your own browser wallet. Rivo never sees your keys.
- Polymarket US: you connect your own API key for trading.
- Portfolio: Rivo shows positions, orders and balances by venue, so you know what sits where before you cash out.
Cashing out because a strategy stopped working? Check the numbers first. The Polymarket leaderboard ranks wallets by profit on settled markets. As of September 27, 2026, the top 200 wallets there traded $1.1 billion, and the number one wallet, vito3corleone, is up $6.55 million while winning fewer than half of its settled trades. The wallet tracker opens any address, and a Polymarket bot replays a strategy at your size on paper before you risk a dollar.
Fees on the way in and out of trades are covered in Polymarket fees explained.
